Vintage(1945~2004)

Until around 1980, people in Japan used to pay a large sum of money to buy kimonos. (They are still expensive today, but rental services are available.) Back then, the quality gap between Japanese products and those from countries like China and Southeast Asia was significant. Everything, including pottery, was meticulously manufactured in Japan, and there were no cheaply made products.

Vintage Japanese-made items refer to goods manufactured in Japan during past eras. These items possess unique designs, quality craftsmanship, and the distinctive charm of their respective periods, making them highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.

Vintage Japanese-made items encompass various categories, but they are particularly esteemed in the following fields:

1. Ceramics : Japan has a long history of ceramic production, and vintage Japanese ceramics are known for their exquisite paintings, distinctive glazes, and advanced techniques. Representative examples include Arita ware, Kyoto ware, and Shigaraki ware.
2. Kimono : Traditional Japanese garments such as kimono and obi are highly valued as vintage items. They feature beautiful dyeing and weaving techniques, along with unique designs, appealing to collectors and kimono enthusiasts.
