Haneri (half collar)
The half-collar, or “haneri(half collar)” is used in wearing a kimono to keep the collar clean and prevent direct contact with the skin. Haneri inserted inside the kimono collar and tied after adjusting the neckline. Additionally, it is used to fine-tune the height and shape of the kimono collar. Typically made of white or cream-colored material, the half-collar enhances the overall cleanliness and elegance of the attire. Using half-collars of different colors or patterns can alter the impression of the kimono, adding versatility to the ensemble.
